The owner of the center, Joan Burnett, has been working in the metaphysical field since 1988 when she managed a metaphysical book store in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Joan has studied with the University of Metaphysics in California and Sedona and has received a Doctorate in Metaphysical Science and a PhD. in Mystical Research. Joan is a certified member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy. She has studied past life hypnotherapy with Dick Sutphen, Dr. Carol Carbon, Dr. Richard Neeves, and Thad James. Joan had been performing past life regression therapy for 15 years. Recently, Joan received training in performing Between Life Soul Regressions with Dr. Linda Backman of the Ravenheart Center of Boulder Colorado. Joan is also a minister with the International Metaphysical Ministry.
Joan Burnett has received training in Pranic Healing from Master Stephen Co of the American Institute of Asian Studies. She also received training in Reconnective healing from Dr. Eric Pearl and Christine Upchurch.
The Center has books, CDs, jewelry, cards, angels, crystals and pendulums. The center also carries Aromatherapy products by Terrie Marie of El Paso, and, handcrafted jewelry by Joan Russell, Heather Nordwall, and the owner Joan Burnett.
The Center will offer classes in psychic development, meditation, numerology, communicating with angels, and other subjects as teachers appear.
The Metaphysical Life Enrichment Center is in an old adobe home built by Trost in the 1930's. The address is 2600 El Paseo Road, which is on the north-west corner of El Paseo Road and University Avenue between Lemongrass and The Cutter Gallery.

Like many of you I was drawn to the psychic side of life by experiences I had as a child and as a young adult. I have always known there was more to the universe than what is in the physics books. I worked as an engineer for Raytheon at HELSTF on White Sands Missile Range for 19 years. Yes, I was known as the weird guy in the office. However, you would be surprised at the number of engineers that are interested in metaphysics because they have a grandmother or uncle that has some kind of psychic ability such as mediumship or water witching.
I have studied and practiced energy healing for many years. I started with Reiki back in the 1980's. I received my attunement to Reconnective Healing from Dr. Eric Scott Pearl in 2000. Starting in 2005 I have received training in Pranic Healing and Advanced Pranic Healing from Master Stephen Co of the American Institute of Asian Studies. In 2008, I received training in Matrix Energetics from Dr. Richard Bartlett.
I believe that you need more than one tool in your tool chest. When I work on someone, I am guided to use the combination healing energies would create the best outcome for them.
Pranic Healing works with the energy bodies and chakras to clean out dirty or negative energy and replace it with new clean energy. The body then uses the new clean energy to heal itself. Pranic Healing also cleans out and balances the chakras to insure proper energy flow into and out of the energy bodies.
Reconnective Healing is about bringing a new healing frequency of light and information into your space and letting your body absorb them. Your body then uses the new light and information to heal itself.
Matrix Energetics uses awareness and intention to shift the quantum energy state of your body.
